Home Encouragement offers 3-hour Marriage Tune-Ups to help marriages move in the direction of hitting on all cylinders! Led by Brett & Kellie Hurst, three to four couples together spend a more prayerful, focused time learning how to better work as a team in their individual marriages. In a relaxed setting, Marriage Tune-Ups are designed to enhance better overall marriage harmony and intimacy. Suggested minimum donation to Home Encouragement: $120 per couple. Parenting By Design is an internationally acclaimed and practical parenting curriculum developed by our very good friends Chris and Michelle Groff and Lee Long. Parenting By Design is a faith-based parenting series that compares current parenting paradigms to the ageless parenting principles in Scripture. The goal of Parenting By Design is to significantly increase the odds of raising kids with the skills necessary to make good choices when they are out of the home, by practicing these skills when they are in the home.

The radical discipleship of Faithwalking challenges the comfort and assumptions of all participants’ marriages. Some relationships are already scarred by the pain of the past or crippled by unhealthy patterns in the present. Missional Marriage seeks to support marriages and to strengthen practices of sacrificial love and healing between couples. We truly believe that as couples experience God’s ideal of “one flesh” intimacy, they will be powerfully released to channel their gifts and energies toward a hurting world.
Toward this end, Missional Marriage offers a three-day weekend retreat for couples to explore these issues. A recent statistic says that the average engaged couple spends 250 hours in a year planning their upcoming wedding. However, on average, today's couples spend only two hours in that year planning toward a lifelong marriage relationship. Statistics say that the right kind of training and premarital encouragement can increase a couple's likelihood of having a successful marriage by as much 50%.
Married Life Prep is a fun, free and "engaging" eight-hour premarital series led by Brett and Kellie Hurst that prepares engaged and newlywed couples with relational tools needed to set their marriage on a firm foundation....for a satisfying lifelong relationship together. All materials are provided. There is no cost for the series! Come join us for a relaxed environment that will get you even more excited about your upcoming life together.
Home Encouragement® and MDPC are also both partners in the Twogether in Texas statewide initiative to promote healthy marriages. Therefore, after our workshops, couples that complete the entire course receive a certificate to present to the County Clerks Office for waivers of marriage licensing fee and waiting period.
